6 cylinders, overhead valves, 3 x 4½"; (3127cc), single plate clutch, 3 speeds, coil ignition with most supplied with standby magneto ignition system, independent foot and hand brakes acting on rear wheels, semi-elliptic front and rear suspension, 54" track, wheelbase 129", chassis weight 2200 lbs. 23" dia wheels with 32x4 1/2 or 33x5 straight sided Dunlop tyres. 13 External steel shutters with round edge radiator, 13 nickel shutters optional in 1923 and standard in 1924 with square edge radiator. 10-spoke steel Dunlop artillery wheels optional extra (56" track), 70mph speedo. Design Chassis Number given on design plans. 13 not used in Chassis Plate numbers. Works Erection Number is 20 larger and stamped on chassis dumbiron and shown on chassis cards.

Front wheel brakes with servo assist, 4 speed gearbox, 2" longer front springs, braced chassis rails, 14 shutters enclosed in radiator, wider rear brakes, double spline hubs, 2" wider track to 56", 12-spoke Dunlop artillery wheels optional with revised hubs/brakes to keep track at 56".
